Douglas Shire Bodies in Motion Dance School students celebrate exam results
SUCCESS

Just a short time ago more than 200 students from Bodies in Motion Dance School sat their jazz, tap, hip hop and classical ballet dance exams.
Examiners traveled from Brisbane and Melbourne to assess local dancers over two weekends, ranking them against students from all across the country.
After the long wait for results to arrive in the mail, students celebrated together with family and friends at a presentation ceremony at the Mossman Shire Hall on Sunday, October 8.
Each student was awarded a certificate, medal and a written report.
Principal Saskia Williams said this year saw an amazing number of distinction and honours marks for the school.
"There were a large group of students sitting in the top 10% of students tested nationally which is a credit to the students’ work ethic and their teachers," Ms Williams remarked.
Now that exams are over, students are busy perfecting their moves for their end of year production; 'Legendary' at Cairns Performing Arts Centre on December 14.
The show follows the story of an aspiring songwriter trying to find their voice. Tickets will go on sale through Ticketlink soon.
