YOU SAID IT! Truck trial a driving factor for sugar future
letters and comments

Ebony McCartney
This will be disappointing if allowed to use larger trucks. The ones being used now drive too fast and cannot stay in their lanes. I came up around the corner at Buchans Point this week to find a truck driver over on my side of the road as he took the corner too fast.
Joanna Palmer
Too many careless cowboy drivers in the last few years carting cane down the range. Few hot headed fist fights happened at traffic stops. Too dangerous and not viable long term.

No B Doubles on the Capt Cook.
Alf Craig
Meanwhile, has a feasibility study been undertaken re barging the cane to the mill?
Dan Hammersley
Can see why the mill went bust, canegrowers want taxpayers to pay for everything for them and they pay nothing. That road isn't suitable for B-doubles. Can't keep trucks upright now let alone something bigger.
Wangetti Trail redesign on its way

Seriously?????!!! just give it up to a bad idea gone wrong and give the rest of the money to the Douglas Shire REAL requirements.
Jessie Stephens
And how much is the redesign now going to cost?
Lynn Herron
Should never been started in the first place. My childhood home (Hartleys Creek/ Wangetti) has been destroyed by Quaid Road and now this stupid track. People who go to falls don't realise that your swimming in the water supply of the local community.
Leith Keegan
Call it "the iron lung track".... It's keeping heaps of people alive.
Neil Jabs
No matter how you design it - it will never work in a high tropical very steep mountainous environment. Do you not learn from the previous trail which got washed away in the first heavy downpour. Why heck they are still fixing the road 2 years after the cyclone. Stop appeasing politicians who live in cities and delusional ideology which sounds like a good idea but common sense locals have had enough wasting taxpayers money.

Does this mean our pay goes up?

They can't afford to live here.

You can thank Paluschook for signing up for the Olympics so thousands of builders will be building stadiums instead of homes.
