As your local representative for the Far North, I want to wish everyone across Leichhardt a joyful and relaxing Christmas, from Cairns to the Torres Strait.
This is a time to come together, celebrate what we’ve achieved, and enjoy the company of family, friends, and community.
Please have fun and make the most of the holiday season, but also stay safe on our roads, in our waters, and while travelling.
With the possibility of extreme weather this season, please keep an eye on updates and look out for one another.
Give your neighbour a friendly wave: community is so important and even the smallest of gestures might make more of a difference than you realise.
Thank you for your support, resilience, and positivity throughout the year. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a bright, healthy, and a successful year ahead as we prepare for challenges and turn them into opportunities.
