Wonga Beach State School has proudly welcomed new acting principal Anita Cubit, who has quickly found her stride in the leadership role. Her warm approach and passion for education have been warmly embraced by students, staff, and families.

This term has been off to a dynamic start, with a host of exciting activities and community events bringing energy and joy to the school grounds.

Students have been especially active, taking part in a series of cross country events, from district trials to TCN and Peninsula competitions, where they demonstrated impressive determination and school pride.

Preparations are now underway for the Red Ball Tennis Competition coming up in late June.

In celebration of National Walk Safely to School Day, students and families took part in a healthy and environmentally friendly initiative by walking to school together.

The event encouraged children to stay active and highlighted the importance of road safety.

Wonga Beach School also helped students celebrate the special women in their lives with a week-long Mother’s Day stall and a popular monster raffle.

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to pick out heartfelt gifts and take part in the spirit of giving.

The school’s annual Book Fair was a big hit, inspiring a love of reading across all year levels. With a wide variety of books on offer, students eagerly explored new stories and genres to take home and enjoy.
