Douglas Shire Council, in partnership with Mossman Support Services Youth Centre the Tin Shed, is calling on local businesses to help bring festive cheer to the community by sponsoring the highly anticipated Christmas Extravaganza at the Mossman Showgrounds on Friday, December 5.

The event will feature the magic of “Light up the Park,” Carols by Candlelight, market stalls, amusements, food trucks and a spectacular fireworks finale. Santa Claus will be arriving in style by helicopter with Nautilus Aviation.

To ensure the event remains free and accessible to all, Council is inviting businesses to contribute sponsorship to help cover costs for rides and entertainment.

Sponsorship levels include:

• Gold – $1000

• Silver – $500

• Bronze – $250

Sponsors will receive special mentions and promotional opportunities as part of the event.

Douglas Shire Mayor Lisa Scomazzon said the support of local businesses would play a vital role in bringing the Christmas Extravaganza to life.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to showcase their community spirit and help create a truly magical start to the festive season,” Mayor Scomazzon said.

“Your support will ensure this festive event brings joy to families across the shire.”

To sponsor the event, contact Brody Andrews at 0412 735 585 or email [email protected].

Food trucks and stallholders interested in participating are invited to email their details and stall type to [email protected].
