Year 6 students are trying to strike a playful deal with PM Anthony Albanese ahead of their Canberra trip.

Year 6 students from Port Douglas State School have recorded a cheeky video message for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ahead of their upcoming 2,000-kilometre trip to Canberra.

In the clip, the kids acknowledge Albo’s busy schedule running the country, sitting in Parliament, and cheering on his beloved South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Leaning into the local NRL rivalry, the diehard North Queensland Cowboys fans pitch a deal: if the PM can spare a few minutes to meet them at Parliament House, their teacher, Miss Kelda, will wear a Rabbitohs jersey for the occasion.
