Exciting news for food lovers. The serene Treehouse Restaurant at Silky Oaks Lodge is now open for lunch to the public.

Perched above the picturesque Mossman River, this open-air restaurant boasts a breathtaking rainforest backdrop that sets the scene for a memorable culinary experience.

A spokesperson at Silky Oaks Lodge said that guests can choose two or three course options from the contemporary Australian menu, with highlights including kingfish tataki, duck larb salad, tempura reef fish and barbecued tiger prawns.

“A section of tropical sorbets or a local Hemingway’s Tropical Ale are perfect to ease in the afternoon,” the spokesperson added.

The Treehouse Restaurant welcomes visitors for lunch between 12-2.30pm. Please note, breakfast and dinner are reserved for in-house guests.

Big renovation at Mantra PortSea

Mantra PortSea Port Douglas has recently undergone a significant renovation to elevate the guest experience in their spacious apartments and guestrooms.

The refurbishment was completed in two phases, with 50 percent of the newly refurbished rooms available in November 2019 and the remaining ones in November 2022.

The refreshed rooms are equipped with new beds, updated carpet, fresh paint, soft furnishings, living room furniture, and decorative items.

The total investment for the guestroom makeover program was almost $1 million, showcasing Mantra PortSea's commitment to providing a comfortable and well-appointed resort experience for guests in the tropical north of Queensland.

Central Plaza Apartments Port Douglas is taking the safety and comfort of their guests to the next level by introducing a contactless check-in service. With the ongoing pandemic, the hotel recognizes the need for enhanced safety measures, and their top priority is the well-being of their guests.

In addition to ensuring the highest level of security and privacy with PCI Level-1 compliance, the hotel is now going paperless for check-in. This eco-friendly initiative demonstrates their commitment to providing a sustainable and safe experience for all guests.
