Prime Minister Anthony Albanese slipped into beautiful Port Douglas over the Easter break. NOTE: This picture shows the beauty of our region and is not meant to be an image of the current Prime Minister PICTURE: Port Douglas Daintree tourism.

He may be being called to act on and urgently address national issues such as the growing juvenile crime epidemic in Alice Springs, ‘The Voice’ discussions and other significant matters but that didn’t stop the country’s most important dignitary from spending time in where else but Port Douglas over the Easter break.

Newsport understands Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and family took time to explore the Great Barrier Reef with popular local operator Quicksilver on Sunday.

The Prime Minister was also spotted around town enjoying other local activities as well.

When he wasn’t out and about the PM chilled out at his temporary digs - the Peninsula Boutique Hotel.
